Sophisticated Elegant Comfortable Classy Timeless Unexpected
Mother of the Bride:
Smoky-hued hammered silk drop-waisted knee-length party dress with deep pleats at the hips, subtle ruching details around the open neckline and belt, subtle cut-in-one short sleeves, and an asymmetrical button detail featuring handmade dogwood accents on the neckline and belt that reference the handmade dogwood belt of the bride.
(If the bride likes it,) The dogwood flowers will be made from silk, with stitched outlines, lightly hand-painted accents, small hand-beaded centers, and leaves in a fabric that resembles that of the bridesmaids dresses. (Dogwood accents will be easily removable for future occasions.)
For the ceremony:
Add a cropped shrug jacket in the same smoky-hued hammered silk with ruching around the open neckline and cut-in-one 3/4 straight sleeves.
